I just built one of these but haven’t laid the shingles yet. Shouldn’t there be tar paper or is it not really necessary on this dog house?

Exactly what I want to do. Have a bunch of those Rubbermaid containers and wasn't sure if they would fit sideways in 24" spacing, but looks like they will. Not putting anything heavy. The usual totes Xmas stuff, blankets, clothes, board games, sleeping bags. No books or engine blocks.

That was cool. Nice simple design. I would have put glue on it too though.

As another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us don’t have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we won’t be able to practise the full stack project, is still great.

Ordered your plans also and have not received them. It is something that I am going to build this morning. It would not let me use my credit card - only paypal. I can't wait a week for Paypal to clear it for a dollar.

I’m about to build this same design but read comments in a yellawood video that pressure treated wood is very bad for dogs. Has your dog had any issues?

I'd be careful how much weight you put up there as the celing joists are not designed to carry a lot of weight - if you put too much weight on them the joists will probably start to bow & you will find cracks appearing in your ceiling in the joins between the plasterboard

What thickness are the shelves?

Pretty slick..I've made a ton of smaller planters with a very similar design. I find it a lot easier to assemble the panels first with a spot of glue on the edges, clamp them down then trim them to fit for the corners. No problem with expansion even here in South Carolina.. By the way, cypress is a great wood for planters as well. Cypress is pretty much bullet proof when it comes to both moisture and even contact with wet soil. The stuff takes forever and a day to even begin to rot..

Great idea! Thanks. I like being able to stack multiple shoves in one slot. Many other videos waste space by only having one per slot.

Watching this guy break down that sheet convinced me that what this dude really needs is an outfield table.
